Can it get any worse??? Extreme sailing can be a little dangerous but the Hobie is back home safe on the beach and the boat is being repaired in this right moment, so that it’s ready for winter sailing.
Danish Open Nationals 2014 Championship results in total 4th: HobieGirls participated in the Danish Open Nationals 2014, 13-14 September. A combination of land-effect, current and a shifty breeze provided the competitors with quite challenging conditions in both tactics and boat handling. The HobieGirls got a 4th place in total at the Hobie 16 Classic Danish Open Nationals.
Haboe Cup Championship 2014 results in total 4th: Michala was invited to sail as skipper in Krabbes Hobie Cat 16 SPI (SPI= spinnaker) at the Harboe Cup Sunday the 28th September. First time sailing with the spinnaker… Hmnn so how did she/they do? Well she sailed together with Erik who is a very experienced sailor, so she learned a lot. The best scores that they made that Sunday was a 4 th, 1st (yes a first) and a 4th so in total the Krabbe brothers boat came 4th in the Harboe Cup.
That’s all for now folks as we are very busy fixing our boat it is not easy working with fiberglass, tissue, plastic padding and much more. Thank God for YouTube where we can watch videos on: “How to repair a Hobie etc”.
By the way the ladies had to make a casting mold, so that they could make metal reinforcement for the bows. They used kids modeling clay…. Have a nice day 😉
